On Feb. 27, 47 Waitsburg High students made the trip to Bluewood for a day of skiing and snowboarding. According to Waitsburg P.E. teacher Jeff Bartlow, this has been an annual event for nearly two decades. "We do a lot of different things here and lifetime fitness and sports is an important part of our education at WHS," Bartlow told The Times. "We want to take advantage of the close proximity of Bluewood to where we are here at Waitsburg. The idea of skiing and snowboarding and learning to do it is a big challenge for some kids and it takes a lot of courage."
