Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley
Entry deadline is May 29
WAITSBURG – The deadline to enter items in Waitsburg’s 61st annual Livestock Show and Fair is just around the corner. Last year’s show boasted approximately 70 exhibitors, and the Applied Arts Building earned the coveted Washington State Fair Commission black-and-white ribbon as an outstanding display.
This longstanding Waitsburg tradition – originally known as the Waitsburg Junior Livestock Show – was once open to only 4-H and FFA members, but now welcomes open class entries from youth and adults in Walla Walla County.
Exhibitors compete in a variety of animal categories as well as Herdsman, Fitting and Showing, Tractor Driving and Livestock Judging.
The Applied Arts Building includes entries in Foods & Nutrition, Crafts, Clothing, Knitting/Crocheting, Educational Posters & Displays, Photography, and more. Open class entries are available for all ages and divisions.
Premium books are available at the Walla Walla Extension Office (328 W. Poplar) or Northwest Farm Supply (850 N. 4th Ave, Walla Walla). All entries must be postmarked by May 29, 2015. Email waitsburgfair@gmail.com for more information.
