Key to the Piano

Retiring Waitsburg Christian Church pastor of 25 years, Mike Ferrians, was honored in a retirement celebration on Sunday, May 17. The ceremony got a bit emotional when Waitsburg Santa, Skip Winchester, dressed in "formal summer attire," presented Ferrians with a special key. Santa said he has a key that allows him entry to homes without chimneys on Christmas Eve, but that this key was even more special. The key he presented to Ferrians, on behalf of the church, works, 24/7, seven days a week, 365 days a year and allows Ferrians access to play the church's grand piano (cherished by Ferrians) whenever he likes, he said.
