Resident on Patit Road awoken by someone knocking on the door; requested deputies check the area, but they were unable to locate anyone.
May 11
Suspicious black SUV reportedly parked near the school on E. Park Street; vehicle left before a deputy could respond. Possible violation of a no-contact order reported on E. Mustard Street. Caller on W. Main Street reporting assault, claiming he was kicked in the back by another resident.
May 12
Theft of chainsaw and sound system speakers from Columbia County Fairgrounds. Caller requesting a male subject be trespassed from the fairgrounds. Vandalism/car prowl reported on W. Main Street; somebody entered a vehicle and attempted to remove the stereo causing damage to the dashboard.
May 13
Vehicle on Highway 12 at milepost 373 lost its load and was partially blocking the roadway. Deputies assisted city workers in removing vehicles from city property. Suspicious phone call reported on N. 5th Street; unknown person claimed to need access to the residence to check wiring. Caller on E. Richmond Avenue reported receiving a threatening phone call from a blocked number.
May 14
Harassment reported on E. Tremont Street; caller requested to file a criminal trespass form against another individual.
May 15
Fraudulent phone call reported on N. Touchet Road. Neighborhood disturbance reported on E. Washington Avenue; neighbor was yelling at the caller stating the caller could not be on the property. Deputies investigated and determined the caller did not have permission to be on the property.
May 16
Animal bite reported by Dayton General Hospital; owner of dog on S. 3rd Street was bitten by own dog. Suspicious circumstances on E. Dayton Avenue; several people reported hearing knocks on their doors but nobody there. Waitsburg driver Michael Hankins, 26, was cited on suspicion of driving on a suspended license. Passenger Edward Terry, 29, of Dayton was arrested on a felony warrant out of Garfield County for a probation violation.
