Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley
WAITSBURG – Waitsburg’s Summer Reading Program, with the theme Every Hero Has a Story, kicks off on Monday, June 22, from 2-4 p.m. and will run for six weeks. So far 21 kids have registered, and new participants are welcome to join at any time.
Librarian Rosie Warehime plans to invite local heroes to share their stories, and each meeting will include a reading time, a science or craft project and treats. Readers will make a chain for the books they’ve read and will earn prizes. Children are welcome to come in any time the library is open to receive extra help with reading.
