July 6

Male arrested on warrant on Willard Street.

Prescott

July 5

Underage male suspect contacted at the Prescott Pool regarding possessing and consuming alcohol. Suspect was issued a citation for minor in possession/minor in consumption.

Dayton

June 28

Caller reported a female sitting on the ledge of the Main Street bridge; deputy contacted two adult females who said they were watching the water. Report of cell phone theft on E. Main Street. Deputies responded to a report that a man was threatening another person with a machete; altercation was verbal only and machete, which was in a backpack and never displayed or used in a threatening manner, was secured in a vehicle prior to deputy arrival.

June 29

Deputies assisted Fire District 3 with a house fire on E. Washington Avenue. Threats reported on Eckler Mountain Road; parties were able to resolve the situation once deputies arrived. Possible assault on W. Commercial Street; suspect left prior to deputy arrival. Non-injury collision reported on Upper Weinhard Road after a caller reported what sounded like a vehicle crash; deputies arrived on scene and found a tan Nissan pickup overturned on the roadway. The juvenile male driver had lost control of the vehicle while traveling southbound causing the truck to spin out of control and roll. All three occupants refused medical treatment; the truck was towed from the scene.

June 30

Caller reported a wallet stolen on E. Main Street on Monday night. Possible fight between juveniles reported on S. 5th Street; deputies determined the juveniles were playing and no fight had occurred. Vandalism reported on S. 5th Street; caller wanted to report vandalism because was got on the caller’s bike while juveniles were having a water fight. Vandalism reported on Eckler Mountain Road; caller reported the water in a barn was left on. Injury collision reported on Tucannon Road near milepost 13 after a single vehicle struck a cow; vehicle went into the river after hitting the cow and the driver of the vehicle was transported to Dayton General Hospital. Possible fight between two people in a vehicle reported on Highway 12 near milepost 361; the vehicle had left the scene prior to deputy arrival.

July 1

Suspicious white pickup on property on Eckler Mountain Road; deputy responded and determined the occupants were assisting the tenants with moving. Suspicious male sitting under a tree in the city park cussing; deputy contacted the intoxicated male and escorted him from the park. Phone harassment by ex-girlfriend reported on N. Touchet Road. Dayton resident Ashley Thorne, 18, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on a charge of operating a vehicle without a license; she was released after posting bail. Non-injury collision reported near milepost 6 on McKay Alto Road; vehicle collided with a deer earlier in the day and was being reported for insurance purposes. Dayton resident Justin Brady, 37, turned himself in at the sheriff’s office; he was wanted for failure to appear on an original charge of malicious mischief. Suspicious male and female reported behind Skyline Auto Parts; deputy was unable to locate the people and nothing looked disturbed.

July 2

Injury collision reported by the driver on W. Main Street after his or her vehicle struck a bicyclist; bicyclist complained of pain in the leg and was transported to Dayton General. Dayton resident Austin Kimmons, 18, was cited by Fish & Wildlife for catching a sturgeon in closed season; the sturgeon was donated to a local charity. Squatters were reported by the river and were spotted from Highway 12 near milepost 361; deputies confirmed they didn’t have permission to be on the property and ensured they left. Yakima Police reported the recovery of a stolen license plate from a Dayton resident. Dayton resident Desiree Wanlarbkam, 39, was arrest for failure to appear on the charged of allowing an unauthorized minor to operate a vehicle and no valid operator license; she was released after posting bail. Open door reported at Dayton Elementary School; deputies checked the building and everything appeared normal.

July 3

Older male reportedly running naked on the river dike near the 1100 block of S. 3rd Street; deputies checked the area but were unable to locate anyone.

July 4

Caller reported threats being made toward the caller’s mother by an intoxicated male at Dayton Mercantile; subject was trespassed from the store. A bag of clothing was reported stolen from a vehicle while parked at the city pool; the clothes were found tossed onto the dike path. Dayton resident William Massey, 50, was arrested on Harlem Road on suspicion of fourth-degree assault-domestic violence following a call reporting a physical altercation between an adult daughter and her father. Hit and run collision reported at Cameron Courts; a vehicle was struck and the driver fled the scene. Possible fight between two males reported on Pine Street; the fight ended prior to deputy arrival but the investigation is ongoing.
