Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley
Dear Editor
Just a note of thanks. After twenty five years working for Government at Hanford, (father also worked thirty years there) and several years for Boeing, I retired and with wife Olga bought the small lavender farm here. Yes, we are new farmers in town but full of energy retirees learning more every day. We are grateful to community: members of commercial club for opinions about lavender field uses, city office for consulting and at the hardware store people for advise and for finding perfect pets for our home, and for helping us learn to bottle feed our first baby sheep. We need to mention how much we felt the shoulder of community for taken care of our escaped pet goat Annie before we had a fence up. We also would like to thank the Sheriff who came to
us in fifteen minutes at night in the rain when our alpacas were killed by neighbors dogs. It’s the second 4th of July we have lived here and the property is blooming, thank you all.
