Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley

In the July 30 issue of The Times, we shared a story about Prescott’s new vocational agriculture program. That article stated that Prescott would be starting an FFA chapter for the very first time. We should have stated that, to the best knowledge of the current administration, this will be Prescott’s first FFA chapter.
Jack McCaw, who graduated from Prescott in 1945, stopped by The Times office last week to set the record straight. McCaw said the school did have an active FFA chapter back in the early ‘40’s and that he was even next in line to be FFA president before he left school early to enlist in the service. (McCaw’s mother accepted his diploma for him at graduation.)
Also, in our August 6 issue, in our story about Limagrain, we misspelled the name of a recent hire at the company. His name is Ben Brimlow, not Brimwell. Our apologies.
