New Benches at Smith Hollow School

Two new park-style benches were recently installed at the Smith Hollow Schoolhouse grounds in Dayton. The benches are courtesy of the Anderson family of Dayton, friends & supporters for the late Rob Anderson, and Columbia REA. They compliment the recent bike rack/hitching post memorial for Rob Anderson.

The green metal benches match existing public seating on Dayton's Main Street. The concrete pad for the benches was installed by Tanner Steinhoff of Steinhoff construction. Jack Himmelberger, a CREA employee, installed the benches.

A small plaque on one bench is dedicated to the memory of Rob Anderson. It features a quote by him: "To Be At Peace."

The second bench will have a plaque, now in production, from CREA  and will be dedicated to the employees who helped build the company.
