Political Cartoonist to Speak in Dayton

DAYTON – Political Cartoonist Milt Priggee, formerly of The Spokesman Review, will speak at the Dayton Memorial Library on Thurs., Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. Priggee will give a talk entitled, “Cartooning the Evergreen State: A Conversation about local political cartoons and what is considered acceptable commentary of the 21st century.”

Priggee provides informative and fun presentations about the past, present, and future of editorial cartooning. “I show insightful, controversial, supposedly libelous and some rejected or killed cartoons and answer any and all questions you’d like answered about this unique art of commentary,” states Priggee’s website, regarding his speaking engagements.

Priggee will visit the library though the Humanities Washington Speaker’s Bureau.
