First-time QB Sunderlin-Herrin rushes for 74 yards and a score in 60-16 loss
COLTON – The Dayton Bulldogs football team gave up 40 points to Colton in the first quarter Friday on their way to a 60-16 loss.
The Loss added to Dayton’s woes, after the team lost its first and second-string quarterbacks to injury. But first-time QB Kobie Sunderlin-Herrin had a strong game, scoring once and rushing for 74 yards.
After Colton’s first 40 points, the game went to a running clock.
The Bulldogs finally got on the board in the fourth quarter with a 16-yard interception return by Jeff Tate. Sunderlin-Herrin added his score later in the quarter with a seven-yard scoring run.
The Bulldogs will host Liberty Christian on Friday night at 7 p.m.
