Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley

YoungLife Hosts Annual Dessert Fundraiser

DAYTON – YoungLife leaders will host the group’s 11th annual dessert fundraiser, to benefit Waitsburg and Dayton youth, on Sun., Oct. 4 at 4 p.m. at Running T Ranch (802 N. Touchet Rd.), just outside Dayton. The event is also an opportunity to learn more about the YoungLife program and about the many ways adults can become involved.

In addition to a pie dessert, attendees will have the opportunity to bid on an auction for 14 pies, a dessert of the month for a year, and an image by Photographer John Clement titled “Heaven’s Declare.” The limited edition print, numbered 3/10 is 20”x24” and is printed on archival cotton rag canvas.

Money raised from the event goes toward ministry expenses such as camp scholarships, transportation to camp, par-time mission staff, regional mission staff and leader supplies. YoungLife aims to provide opportunities for adults to lead adolescents to a personal, growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

“If you’re a parent or simply an adult who cares about kids in your community, YoungLife welcomes your involvement,” said leader Marne Henderson.

There is no charge to simply attend the event. Contact Marne Henderson at 386-2365 or email her at marne69@gmail.com or email Cheryl Strang at mstrang@bmi.net to reserve a seat.
