DAYTON – The Dayton School District is looking for a director for the sixth-grade camp this school year, which will be held at the Camp Wooten Retreat Center in northeast Columbia County.
The joint three-day camp, including Dayton and Touchet students, is held in May each year. Approximately 50 students are expected to attend this year’s camp.
According to Dayton School Superintendent Doug Johnson, the camp director will be responsible for recruiting volunteers, including teachers, the food service manager and chaperones. He or she will also be responsible for organizing activities.
The camp director will be paid $1,150 the first year, with increases in subsequent years.
