'Pink Night' Fund-raiser

WAITSBURG – The Waitsburg Cardinals volleyball team is gearing up for their annual Pink Night Breast Cancer Fundraiser match, Oct. 22. Funds from the event will be donated to a local mom, currently undergoing breast cancer treatment.

The Pink Night Match, against the DeSales Irish, will take place in the Waitsburg gymnasium on Thurs., Oct. 22 at 6 p.m. Both Waitsburg and DeSales volleyball team members are taking orders for T-shirts which cost $15, with $5 going toward the fundraiser. Orders should be placed by Oct. 10.

There will also be a “pink” bake sale the night of the match and donations of pink-themed baked goods are greatly appreciated.

Funds will go to benefit a 5th grade teacher, local to the area, who has been diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer.
