The Cardinals continued to impress at the massive Richland Invite on Sat., Oct. 10.

Emily Adams took first place, out of 125 runners, in the Division 2 girls' varsity race with a time of 19:48.03. Adams was more than 10 seconds ahead of second place runner Elyria Kabasenche of Pullman who finished at 19:59.61.

"She had a bad start, boxed in, but fought through and caught the lead girls on the first hill, passing them at the crest. She maintained a solid distance between her and the second place runner," said Coach Ann Adams.

"The ground was heavy and seemed to suck the energy out of you," said Emily Adams.

Landon Callas placed 41st out of 155 runners in the Division 2 boys' varsity race with a time of 18:02.42 on the crowded, three-mile course.
