Bulldogs are third in league standing
DAYTON – The Lady Bulldogs volleyball team had a stellar week sweeping both Asotin and DeSales in a fast three sets, earning them third place in league play. The Bulldogs are 7-2 in league play and 9-3, overall.
The Bulldogs beat Asotin in an away match on Oct. 13 outplaying the Panthers 207-25, 25-11, 25-9.
Josilyn Fullerton continued to take the lead in stats serving 10/11 with seven kills, 11 assists, one block and four digs. Jenna Phillips served 19/10 with seven digs, four blocks and five digs. Mia Becker served a perfect 15/15, and dished out three kills, five assists, and six digs. Kaleigh White served a perfect 17/17 with two kills and two digs and Tatum Laughery went 6/6 at the service line with one kill and 10 digs.
Dayton faced off against the DeSales Irish on the Bulldog court on Thurs., Oct. 15, taking the win 25-20, 25-10, 25-16.
Jenna Phillips served an impressive 21/22, with two aces, nine kills, nine blocks, and four digs. Josilyn Fullerton served 6/8 with nine kills, seven assists, six blocks and seven digs. Hanna Becker made 15 assists, served 10/12 , and made three aces, two kills and three digs. Kaleigh White led the team in kills with 11.
The Bulldogs have one more home match against Tri-Cities Prep on Monday, Oct. 26. They will head to regionals on Nov. 4.
"Dayton is currently in third place, just one win behind TC Prep, but with WWVA not being able to compete in post season, Dayton could still potentially go to the regional tournament in first or second standing," said Coach Shannon Turner.
