Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley
WAITSBURG – This year’s Hometown Christmas will mark the 30th anniversary of the popular community event. The one-day event, celebrated the first Sunday in December each year, will take place Dec. 6.
Waitsburg Commercial Club President Debra Callahan says the club hopes to make the anniversary event extra-special this year and has given this year’s celebration the theme, “A Victorian Christmas.”
Callahan said parade entry forms should go out this week, along with flyers to the teachers and 4-H groups about making Victorian themed ornaments for the tree. Traditional events include breakfast at Town Hall, vendors at Town Hall, Santa at the Plaza Theater, a lighted parade, and a chili feed.
“There are more surprises to come,” said Callahan.
Groups or individuals who wish to sell items at Town Hall during the event should contact Callahan at debracallahan1@gmail.com or (509) 520-0607.
