Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley
PRESCOTT – The Lady Tigers ended their season with a well-played, five set match against Asotin on Oct. 28. The Tigers fell on the Asotin court, 25-10, 13-25, 25-22, 18-25, and 8-15.
“Prescott ended their season playing their best ball of the year. It sounds like a broken record but once again we left it all out on the court. I’m proud of these girls. They continue to fight to the end. They could have mailed it in weeks ago,” said Couch Bob Young about the loss.
“We started the match flat. We spent so much energy last night against Waitsburg. It’s tough for girls to come back less than 24 hours later and on the road, but they extended that match to five seats again,” Young said.
The Tigers were led by senior Captain Athziry Amezcua’s eight kills, Ruby Rosales’s two blocks and Jocelyn Granados’s 10 for 12 serving and three aces.
“I want to thank the girls in our first year for setting the example of what it is to be a Prescott Tiger, playing with heart and conviction,” he added.
