Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley
DAYTON - As part of Global Entrepreneurship Week November 16-22, the Port of Columbia, the Southeast Washington Economic Development Association and the Dayton High School FBLA are organizing an educational event called “Ignite the Entrepreneurial Spirit.”
The event will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 18 from 6 - 7:30 p.m. at the Liberty Theater in Dayton. This event will feature six or seven entrepreneurs from the region who represent a variety of industries. Presenters represent manufacturing, the creative industry, food processing, marketing, fashion and more.
Each entrepreneur will give what is called an Ignite presentation, a brief 5-minute presentation as 20 slides project behind them on a screen. The topic will be about the many aspects of being an entrepreneur.
After the presentation, Columbia County Economic Development Manager Brad McMasters will give a brief presentation on some of the resources available to entrepreneurs and the movement toward entrepreneur development.
Snacks will be available after the presentations, and attendees will be invited to visit with the presenters and ask questions.
Ignite the Entrepreneurial Spirit is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Brad McMasters at (509) 382-2577.
