Kicking Off Christmas

Doug Krueger, of Dayton, takes the reins of his four-mule team in front of the Dayton Historic Depot. Visitors to Dayton's Christmas Kickoff celebration last weekend enjoyed free hay wagon rides in clear but very cold weather. The hayrides were sponsored by Mule Mania.

Santa got a chance to thank a few of his helpers - these from DHS FBLA - during Dayton's Christmas Kickoff celebration last weekend.

The live nativity scene drew a big crowd behind Dingles.

The Grinch tried to steal Christmas from one young attendee - without success - while other characters looked on in front of Snapdragon Floral and Gifts.

Live reindeer hung out at the Best Western Hotel on Saturday.
