Lady Cards Fall to Pirates

POMEROY - Following a win against Prescott on Fri., Dec. 4, the Lady Cards fell hard in an away game against the Pomeroy Pirates on Sat., Dec. 5. The Pirates took the lead from the beginning and never let up, ending the game with a win of 46-19.

High scorers for the Cardinals were juniors Taylor Hays and Analisea Araya, with five points each. Hays made the only Waitsburg three-point goal. Sophomore Tayler Jones scored four points ;senior Caitlin Mohney and junior Lexi Brannock added two each, and freshman Devon Harshman added the final point.

The Lady Cardinals play Liberty-Spangle at Liberty on Tues., Dec. 8 followed by a two-day tournament at Mac-Hi on Dec. 11-12.
