The Tree
By Jessika Lambert
I was hearing a cracking sound and I felt a funny feeling. Before I knew it I was on the ground! I was picked up and put into the back of a truck. I was back there for about 3 hours. When the people in the truck got to their house they took me in the living room. They watered me, I was so thirsty! I got decorated, and they put a lot of presents under me. It was the next morning, the family was up, they saw all of the presents and they were so happy. I was happy to celebrate Christmas with them.
The Snowman Party
By Mason Tiedemann
It was a dark and cold Christmas Eve, everyone was sleeping. All of a sudden the snowmen from all over New York City came to life. They all went to the town square to have a big snowman party. They drank cold cocoa, ate frozen Christmas treats and ice skated. The snowmen also went sledding down Mount York. Ding, ding, ding…it was now midnight. Santa and his reindeer were pulling in. “Ho, Ho, HO Merry Christmas” he said loudly. When Santa left New York all of the snowmen went home to their families.
The Solen Present
By Preston Hinchliffe
It was midnight I was on the shelf in isle 7 of Fred Myer. The store was closed and only the watchmen was working that night. I heard glass breaking then I heard footsteps. The sound came closer, closer and then something grabbed me. All of a sudden I was in a bag and I was very scared. I heard the watchman say “HELP! I got robbed FLAT out.” He called 911. I listened to loud cop car sirens get closer to us. I was relieved the burglar got caught. There were 5 cop cars with two police in each that came as quick as they could. The bad guy went to court and was sent to prison for stealing 5 expensive presents. He was mad! I was in the cop car for five whole days. Then the cop decided to buy me from the Fred Myer. The policeman took me home in his cop car and took me inside the living room he grabbed me out of the bag. I felt happy that I had a home. He put me under a tree. The next morning I was unwrapped by his son. I am a big true hero to him. The boy was 10 years old. He really liked me. The boy and I played for years. I had a perfect life.
Is That A Reindeer?
By Madison Kaehler
One night my Mom and Dad said “it’s time to go to bed.” I was trying to fall asleep when I heard thumping on the roof. Every time I shut my eyes it kept going thump, thump, thump. I thought to myself, I can’t take it anymore! I snuck out the front door, took my Dad’s ladder and went onto the roof. I was too late. I kept looking around and then I saw them! It was reindeer, they flew off our roof! I saw a red nose on the one in front. I guess the story of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer is real. I ran inside and woke up my Mom and Dad to show them but when we got outside, they were gone. “What did you want to show us?” asked Mom. “There were reindeer” I said. “Reindeer don’t exist” said Mom. “Come onto the roof and I’ll show you” I said. We climbed the ladder, and then Mom and Dad saw the hoof prints. “Wow!” they said, “let’s go inside and check under our tree for presents.” When we got inside we saw all of the presents. It was a great Christmas!
Christmas Morning
By Sawyer Nichols
I was born in the North Pole. One night when I was sleeping, my mom woke me up to say a snow storm was coming and we had to evacuate the cave we lived in. I got lost in the snow storm. While I was lost I heard a voice. “Ho-Ho-Ho Merry Christmas.” Where did that voice come from? I thought. I became so tired I fell asleep in the snow. I woke up in the morning, I heard the voice again, “Ho-Ho-Ho”. I looked around it seemed it was coming from a building. I walked to the building went inside. I saw 11 Reindeer and Santa Claus! Santa said, “I need one more Reindeer.” Then he turned around, he saw me and he yelled, “Yeah! I have another reindeer.” Santa ran and hugged me. He then said, “here; wear this, it’s a bell.” I replied “ok, but why?” Santa replied with “you’re my pet reindeer!! We are gonna have fun together, like my other reindeer! “What are we gonna do?” I asked. He didn’t answer. The next morning, the sun was shining. I heard Santa calling me.” “Where are you?” Santa asked. I loudly yelled, “I’m over here!” I ran over to Santa. He hugged me. It was now December 25th, It was Christmas Day!!! Santa hooked me to his sleigh. He loaded the presents in his big bag. Santa and I flew to Los Angeles.
The Walking Present
By William Hong
I am in a sleigh right now with a guy that says “HO, HO, HO!” The reindeer are chanting”Let’s go, go, go, go, go!” Santa’s elves are singing “Tra, la, la, la, la, la, la!” On Christmas Mountain everyone is so happy and excited! I want to do a back flip under a Christmas tree. I wonder where I’ll be? The End
The Present from Santa Claus
By Paighton Webber
It was Christmas Eve and the children were in bed. The sound of bells woke them up. Then they heard Santa Claus, so they went down stairs but he was not there. They saw there was a present that Santa had left for them and they went back upstairs to bed.
“Why am I under a tree?” thought the present. When the kids woke up they unwrapped me and were very happy because I was the toy they had wanted. They played and played with me. Then they saw that there was one more present left under the tree. It was a present for the whole family. It was a family game, and they loved it. Now, every Christmas the family plays the game by the fire.
How Chet Saved Christmas
By Tanner Atwood
It was two days before Christmas Eve, all of the elves were busy. At the stables, the reindeer were practicing jumping and flying. Rudolph jumped too late, missed the jump and he crashed! Worst of all he broke his leg! Rudolph would not be able to fly. One of the elves said “we still have Chet.” “Ho, ho, ho,” said Santa, “but Chet has no glowing red nose, ho, ho, ho!” “But he has a purple nose” said the elves.
I was in the stables eating hay when Santa barged in “ho, ho, ho, can you be our new Rudolph?” he asked. My mouth dropped open from shock and hay fell out of it. I said “what? You want me to lead the sleigh of presents?” “Ho, ho, ho, yes! Do you think I am kidding?” “Uh, yes” I replied. “But in two more days it will be Christmas Eve, ho, ho, ho” mumbled Santa. “I will do it!” I answered.
It is now Christmas Eve, I have been practicing flying all day. Santa comes to the stables and calls all of his reindeer by name, including mine. We fly off into the night, we deliver all of the presents. This has been the best night of my life!
X Box 1
By Race Hubbard
Hi, I’m a X Box 1. Santa’s elf’s made me. I was built for a boy named Race Hubbard. He lives on 4th street in Waitsburg, Washington. He has really wanted me for 2 months. He kept asking his papa every time he saw him. Every night he wished for me before he went to bed. Finally Santa went to Race’s house and put me under the tree. The next morning, Race was really excited. He got up and ran down the stairs. When he got to the tree he grabbed me and he was so happy, because he was waiting for me…the X Box 1! After breakfast we played all day. I enjoy very much being an X Box 1 and playing with my new friend Race.
The Scared Present
By Cooper Selph
I was in Seattle at the Seahawks store. The owner of the store picked me up off the floor and wrapped me up. I was scared because the box was so dark. The paper was colorful with bears and bows. After a day of being scared, I busted out of the box. Right away I felt happy because the man was in the break room and he had his back turned. There was a green thing that had bright lights hanging off it’s edges. I think it was called a Christmas tree because when I was on the floor in the store I heard a couple of boys walk by and say, “I want a Christmas tree to his mom. I ran as fast as I could to get out the door, I didn’t make it and it made me frightened. Then there was a furry thing in the break room and it chased me around the Seahawk store for 5 min. or more. The furry thing ended up being a cat. It grabbed my leg. I felt happy because the owner wrapped me up again. I was in a box and four days past, on the 5th day I thought it was the scariest day ever.
The Tree With Two Lives
By Lucas VanHoose
Once upon a time I was up in the woods next to a cabin. A truck came up to me. I was scared. A family with 3 kids cut me down with an electric chain saw that the dad used. They put me in the back of their truck. They took me to their house. The whole family decorated me with shiny ornaments and lights. A few days past, the kids were so excited they almost hugged me when they came into the room. Instead hugged their present under the tree. I felt a little sad for not getting any presents. They played with their toys. They used me for a light a lot of times. Five days later it seemed like the kid didn’t like me anymore because they were outside having fun. That made me sad. I heard their cousin say, “Happy New Year!” That next day they took me outside and burned me down in the fire pit. About 8:30 AM two days after I came to life again. No one saw me, so I flew with magical fairy wings back to the woods. It was sad because I didn’t get to see the family any more, but I was really happy to be in the woods. This time I went and planted myself in the ground right next to the castle on the very top of the mountain. The next year a different family, who lived in the castle came and cut me down. They took me to their cabin. They were excited and decorated me. They took me inside and put near the big red chair. I thought it was weird that they didn’t put presents under me. It was only 11:50 PM. One hour later a big fat guy came in wearing a red suit. He put hundreds of presents under my branches. The magical frog put 5 cookies with chocolate milk out pretty close to me. The guy in the suit went over and ate the 5 cookies and drank all of the chocolate milk. He was so funny, because he told lots of stories while he was putting out all of the presents. All of a sudden he moved like a jumping rabbit and he was gone. I liked him, I thought he was nice. The next morning, around 10:30 AM there were kids who came into the room where I was put for everyone to see. All the kids were shocked with all the presents that were there. They were major happy with all their presents. I thought both the years I got to be a Christmas tree for the two different families was really fun. I liked watching the kids open their gifts. It made me feel special. I hope they have a good year, until next.
Christmas Night
By Arek Araya
Hi, my parents are trying to make me go to bed, I couldn’t because I heard a noise. It was, I think, about 12:50 in the middle of the night. We lived in the front part of Wal-Mart. I liked living there because there was bunch of other toys, who I get to play with every morning. My mom said the noise was someone checking if anyone was in the store. A person that was shopping two days before Christmas came and took me off the shelf and ½ hour later I was at a house. That night, the people who lived there put me under a green thing and then the next morning they wrapped me. Two days later, really early in the morning, some kid unwrapped me. He looked happy and I was too! He was smiling and singing. He opened all the other presents he had under the tree. I was happy I was at his house and not at Wal-Mart. He played with me every day in the afternoon. I was so excited I was his present for Christmas that year.
The Best Present
By Jason Watson
One Christmas night people were opening presents. There was a tall tree in the kitchen that said to me, “bite me! That way my trunk doesn’t drink the water, because I don’t want to be inside. I was that really big present behind the tree that bit him. The Cougars family of 6 people were scared because the tree was moving. Grandma leaned into the tree and picked me up. She opened me quickly. The rest of the family was leaning back near the table frightened of the tree and what it would do. Grandma saw a pair of dentures inside the box where I was wrapped. She said,” thank you to whoever got this for me.” The mom looked around the room puzzled and asked, “who got those dentures for grandma?” No one admitted getting her that gift. Everyone in the room was confused when they went to bed. Not long after, Santa slowly slid down the chimney and walked to the kitchen. Santa gave everyone dentures in their stockings. Everyone but grandma woke up early that next morning. They ran down the stairs and were very happy because it was Christmas morning and they wanted to see what gifts they got. When they looked in their stockings everyone said “Christmas is ruined because we all got dentures in our stockings!” The Cougars threw away the wrapping paper along with all the dentures. Also they took the tree to the burning pile. Grandma woke up after all the presents and tree was taken outside. She tried to find the dentures that she opened last night, which was me, but she never found me. Something pretty surprising happened when she went to the bathroom. She was going to take a shower. I decided to shoot out of the faucet and make her fall down. She forgot that she had accidently dropped me down the faucet last night when she went to bed. She was thankful that I jumped and scared, because she didn’t like her old pair that had chunks of food in them. I was excited to be her new dentures.

Hi, my name is Comet. I live in the North Pole. Christmas time is here. I love Santa, he has a white beard, and a red suit. He is going to deliver presents all over the world and I get to lead his sleigh. I can’t wait to lead the sleigh. It’s now Christmas Eve, Santa and the sleigh are ready. Here we go! We are delivering presents, a boy named Tommy got a skateboard. A girl named Alyssa got a Zoomer Kitty. Another girl named Paighton got a tablet. We’ve just finished our work and got back to the North Pole. I feel tired and hungry. Time to eat, I am having spaghetti. Then I am off to sleep. I cannot wait till next Christmas.
The Fast Surprise
By Brian Livermore
Once upon a time there was a present for a boy. The boy was excited for Christmas. He was hoping for a RC car. A big monster truck one. Christmas was only a few days away. He went to the store with his mom and showed her what he wanted. She said “maybe.” I was so happy that the boy had chosen me. The boy could hardly wait for Christmas! The next morning he opened his presents. When he got to me he started to quickly unwrap me. He was excited that I might just be that RC Car he has been wanting. He finished unwrapping me. Lucky for me I was the first present he chose to play with that morning. I am happy that he plays with me every day. He likes how fast he can make me go with the remote control.
The Mysterious Present
By Noa Tasker
On Christmas Eve a kid named Sam went to the store and he found the most beautiful present in a box. It was me. I was on a shelf in Wal-Mart. He begged his mom to get it. Finally she said “yes.” When Sam got home he ran to the tree and put me under it. The next morning two kids came running down the stairs. First Chloe, Sam’s little sister, opened her present. It was a pretty doll, Then Sam picked up his present, me! I jumped up 3 ft. out of his hands and out I popped. Arms, legs and two big, bold eyes because I didn’t want Sam to open me up. I ran out the door into the forest! Sam chased me into the forest! He looked around, then he saw two eyes. He ran to it and the eyes grew bigger and bigger. Soon the eyes of a big bear jumped out and scared Sam! He stood on his hind legs sniffing Sam. Sam stood very still, then the bear walked away. He felt shocked because Sam had never encountered a bear before now. So Sam snuck deeper into the forest. Then he saw something bright. He saw a big tree that had bright lights all over it. Then there, under the tree I was sitting. Sam walked over and opened me. He felt happy that I had found a tree in the forest to sit under. I was a compass. He remembered that his house was south of where we were in the forest. Sam followed the compass and found his house. He ran quickly inside. His parents were so scared that Sam was gone. Then he opened the door and was sorry that I had left him. After that Sam opened the rest of his presents.
The Walking Present

I go down onto a conveyer belt and walk on because I think it goes somewhere. I walk for a little bit then I stop walking but the conveyer belt is continuing to move. It took me for a two hour ride. I started to walk again. Finally I got so tired I laid down and slept on the conveyer belt that kept going and going. 2 hours later I woke up to see a big man in a red suit. He had a red cap. The conveyer belt is still going and he grabbed me gently and put me in a red bag. Which then went into his sleigh. What was cool is this sleigh could only be used by flying deer with only the man in the red cap driving. I am hopeful I am going to get to fly in the sleigh tonight. I did get to ride with the guy in his sleigh. It was a ride that was bouncy at first and then a smooth one at the end. When we got to 5099 Orchard Street the big man took me out and told me to walk because I had feet. I didn’t know for sure where I was going so I started walking in the grass. I walked for about 2 minutes. I saw a dog it started to chase me. I quickly scurried up a pipe to the roof. I ran on the rooftop and looked down, the dog is down below continuing to chase me. 3 minutes later I go down the chimney into the house. I close my eyes and fall asleep. I then wake up the next morning and see a little boy. I say “hi”, the boy runs up to the couch. I talk to him again, “I’m not bad.” He asks me if I want to be his friend. I say, “yes I would like that.” It’s a no brainer! He and I walked together every day. We had a lot of fun. He is so excited he got me for a Christmas present because we played fetch. He seems to be ok with that because I have always waddled to get the ball when we played fetch. We are for sure best friends. The boy is 25 years old now and I still have fun with him. I am happy I was his present all those years ago. -- The End
