First Night Out Celebration

DAYTON—The Coalition for Youth and Families, Columbia County Healthy Systems, and the Community Wellness Project promise there will be Fun 4 All at their 3rd annual First Night Out celebration on New Year’s Eve.

This year the theme is First Night Out at the Carnival, and the event will be held in the Dayton Elementary School Multipurpose Room, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., on December 31.

The organizers promise there will be Fun 4 All, for both, young and old, in a safe and sober, drug and alcohol free environment.

Carnival games include: Balloon Darts, Duck Pond, Plinko, Ring Toss, Spin and Win, Basketball Shoot, Football Throw and a Fish Pond.

There will also be a photo booth, Lolly Pop Lotto, Guess How Many, and a cake walk. SHEO middle school girls will help with face painting.

Hospital volunteers will be providing hot dogs, chips, cookies, and water, and Martinelli cider will also be provided.

Door prizes, including a $25 dollar gift certificate from the Dayton Mercantile, will be given out to each of four different age groups, on the hour, every hour.

Volunteers are still needed to help with activities, and cakes are needed for the cake walk. Someone to make animal balloons would be appreciated, too.

For more information, or to volunteer, contact the Coalition for Youth and Families at 382-1511 or Peggy Gutierrez at: (509) 301-2953 or pgutierrez@columbianet.com
