Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley
COLFAX – An ice-cold first quarter left the Dayton girls basketball team in a hole they couldn’t climb out of. On the road here on Dec. 22, the Lady Bulldogs fell to Colfax, 43-24.
A lone free throw was the only score for Dayton in the first quarter, as Colfax jumped to a 13-1 lead at the break. It didn’t get much better in the second quarter. Colfax led at the half, 25-5.
Sidney Andrews led her team in scoring with 10 points, including a three-pointer. Shayla Currin pulled down nine rebounds, along with her six points. Dayton committed 28 turnovers.
Dayton plays at home against Pomeroy on Tuesday.
