Rash of Car Prowls in Dayton

Sheriff’s Office urges residents to lock vehicles and report missing property

DAYTON – The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office took reports on 19 car prowls over just two days last week. Though most owners reported missing only small change from their glove boxes and cup holders, the sheriff’s office is asking individuals to at least call in and report incidents even if they don’t want to be contacted by a deputy.
