Lady Bulldogs Roll to Wins over Prescott, Asotin

Dayton girls remain undefeated in league play, with 8-0 record; 13-2 overall

DAYTON – The Dayton Girls' basketball team rolled over Prescott, 69-26, in a home game Friday night. After a win at Asotin Saturday, the Lady Bulldogs are now 13-2 overall and 8-0 in SE 2B District 9 league play.

Against Prescott, Dayton jumped out to a 30-5 lead against the Tigers after the first quarter. They led 42-18 at the half. With their reserve players in for most of the third quarter, the Bulldogs scored only two points in that frame, but held the Tigers scoreless.

Sidney Andrews led Dayton with 19 points. Madison Mings added nine, including a three-pointer. Kianna Price and Shayla Currin each pulled down eight rebounds.

For Prescott, Bianca Flores had seven points, including a three-pointer, and Naveli Flores added six.

Dayton 67, Asotin 33

ASOTIN – The Lady Bulldogs had an easy time with Asotin on the road Saturday night, outscoring the Panthers 67-33, to extend their undefeated record in league play to 8-0.

Dayton overpowered the Asotin team in the first half, taking a 20-4 lead after the first quarter and going up 35-12 at the half.

The leading scorer for the Lady Bulldogs was Sidney Andrews, with 22 points. Shayla Currin added 18 and Jenna Phillips dropped in 10. Phillips also had ten rebounds.

Dayton was to play Walla Walla Valley Academy on the road Tuesday night. They play at home against DeSales on Friday, before traveling to Ritzville Saturday.
