DAYTON – An impulse purchase of a Washington Lottery Scratch ticket paid off big for Dayton resident JD Finch who won $50,000 earlier this month.
According to a Washington’s Lottery press release, Finch stopped by The General Store (426 W. Main, Dayton) and decided to purchase a “Lots of Letters” Scratch ticket. He scratched the ticket to discover his $5 investment had paid off big. He jokingly told Lottery officials he thought he had given his mother a heart attack when he told her how much he won.
According to the press release Finch plans to take his parents on a vacation to Las Vegas, take his two children on a shopping spree, then travel to Alaska to catch some salmon.
