Dayton Girls Upend Colton With Late Rally

DAYTON – The Dayton girls’ softball team overcame a four-run deficit to defeat Colton here Monday night, 9-8. The winning run came on a walk-off RBI single by Kellie Moore in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Colton scored four runs in the top of the fifth inning to take a 7-3 lead. The Lady Bulldogs got one back in the bottom of that frame, and then tied it in the sixth with three runs on a bases-clearing double by Heidi Dobbs.

After a scoreless seventh, the game went to extra innings. Colton pushed one run across in the top of the eighth, but the Lady ‘Dogs came back with a rally to win. Dob...
