April 17

Assisted WWCSO with backup in Waitsburg. Verbal only domestic violence in 700 block of S. 3rd, parties separated. Disagreement between customer and business in 400 block of E. Main, settled by deputies arrival.

April 18

Report of vandalism at Valley View Court, report of air conditioner punctured with knife.

April 19

Robbery at Steve’s Grocery at 11 p.m. White male dressed in a black hoodie, black with red & white shorts, and black shoes entered with a knife and demanded money. Incident still under investigation. One vehicle hit & run collision at intersection of E. Commercial and N. 1st, railroad sign damaged. Illegal burn barrel at 700 block of E. Patit, fire out upon deputy’s arrival. Threats surrounding a civil purchase at 300 block of W. Main, settled upon deputy contact. Juvenile problem reported at 500 block of N. 1st.

April 20

County-wide reports of numerous fraudulent IRS calls. Assisted WSP with traffic control following a collision. Complaint of intoxicated individual being loud and obnoxious at Country Village.

April 21

County wide reports of numerous fraudulent IRS calls. Red Schwinn bicycle stolen from 400 block of E. Richmond.

April 22

Jeffery Brooks, 22, Dayton was arrested and booked into Columbia County jail on charges of vandalism. Vehicle prowls at 1200 and 1400 blocks of S. 2nd. Money, cigarettes, and beer taken from vehicles. Bicycle taken from yard on 1100 block of S. 4th, recovered next day.

April 23

Unwanted subject reported at 1300 block of S. 2nd after repeated visits from same individual, agreed to stay away after being asked. Person threatened after trespassing at 700 block of E. Patit, subject gone upon deputy’s arrival.

April 24

Unfounded report of trespassing at MP 8 of the S. Touchet.

April 25

Multiple warnings given for speeding and other traffic infractions.

April 26

Single vehicle collision with fire hydrant, Cameron at S. Cherry. Suspicious individual walking in middle of the road at 4th and E. Jackson, subject ran when illuminated by headlights. Motorcycle seen driving at high rate of speed, unable to be caught and stopped.

April 27

Vandalism at 400 block of Fletcher Rd. in Starbuck, cited as a civil issue. Juvenile problems reported at 400 block of Guernsey and 500 block of N. 1st.

April 28

Report of an assault on a juvenile while walking along US 12 at MP 363, subject reported being jumped and is the situation still under investigation. Report of a possible assault at US 12 at Cameron, under investigation. Report of trespassing at 200 block of E. Richmond, ex-renter entered house.

April 29

Complaint of relative harassing individual at 300 block of E. Clay, options given to the complainant. Report of a vacant house broken into within the last three weeks in Starbuck.

April 30

Illegal burning at 1500 block of S. 5th, individuals agreed to put out fire after being contacted. Erratic swerving caused by dog in car reported at MP 362 of US 12.
