Arraignments
-David Wayne Goddard, 46, Dayton; charged with two counts of unlawful imprisonment – domestic violence, three counts of harassment – threats to kill, and one count of 4th degree assault – domestic violence. The charges stem from an incident on June 2, involving Goddard’s girlfriend. Goddard entered a not guilty plea to all charges.
-Todd William Harshman, 51, Dayton; charged with one count of possession of methamphetamine. Police documents say that, following transport from Walla Walla County Jail and during booking into Columbia County Jail, a deputy found a lipstick tube containing a white powdery substance that tested positive for methamphetamine. Harshman entered a plea of not guilty.
-Travis R. Garcia, 29, Dayton; charged with theft in the second degree – access devise. He is accused of charging an item for $50.30 to wish.com on his ex wife’s debit card in April. Garcia said the item was purchased for their child. He entered a plea of not guilty.
-Charles Kenneth Clouse III, 39, Richland; charged with possession of methamphetamine and use of drug paraphernalia. The items were allegedly during a check of a “suspicious vehicle.” Clouse entered a not guilty plea to all charges.
Plea Agreements
-Jeffrey Allen Brooks, 24, Walla Walla; accepted a ple-a agreement that dropped one count of violation of the controlled substances act – possession of methamphetamine in exchange for a guilty plea to one charge of a possession of a stolen vehicle. The charges stem from a Dec. 2015 incident where Brooks is accused of stealing a Pepsi truck from the parking lot of Wal-Mart in Walla Walla and driving it to Dayton. Brooks will spend 54 days in county jail and pay $930 in fines.
-Delores Ann Adams, 63, Spokane. Charged with harassment – threats to kill. Accepted a stay of prosecution for 36 months. If she complies with requirements that include continuing to attend mental health treatment and adherence to no contact orders, the charge will be dismissed in 36 months.
-Fred James Martin, 42, Pasco, charged with burglary in the second degree and assault in the third degree. Charges stem from an incident that took place at the Rawhide Bar & Grill in Starbuck, Wash. in Oct. 2015. The burglary charge was dropped and Martin agreed to a stay of prosecution for two years to the assault charge. If conditions are met, the court will reduce the charge and recommend 60 days time with all suspended for one year. Some of the requirements include: no similar violations in the two-year period, restitution of $378.80, and writing a letter of apology to the victim for refusing to leave the business and pushing the victim.
Other
-Eric Ryan Vanzandt, 33, Dayton; Charged with assault in the second degree – domestic violence, violation of a protection order – domestic violence, assault in the second degree – domestic violence and fourth degree assault in Jan. 2016. Since then, an additional charge of assault in the 4th degree was added in April and a charge of obstructing a law enforcement officer was added June 15. Vanzandt has entered not guilty pleas to all charges. His trial is set for June 30-July 1.
-Alex L. Ahumada, 30; was to make a first appearance on one charge of attempting to elude a pursuing police vehicle. The charge stems from an incident in the Dayton Best Western parking lot in February. A bench warrant was issued for Ahumada to “put him on hold” with DOC in Lewiston where the suspect is being held on other charges.
-Curtis A. Jones, 32, Hermiston; charged with illegal possession of a firearm and criminal trespass. Charges stem from an incident with WDFW that occurred in Oct. 2014. Jones failed to appear for pre-trial hearing. Bench warrant issued.
