Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley
WAITSBURG – The musicians of Waitsburg schools, grades 5 to 12, will present their winter concert in the WHS auditorium on Dec. 12 at 7 p.m.
The fifth grade band will lead out, playing their very first band concert featuring Christmas songs and more. Next up will be the sixth grade band, playing “Down the Field March,” “Jingle Jolly Christmas,” and “Sword of Fire!”
Following them will be the Preston Hall band playing their Christmas Parade Medley, Ancient Moon, and the theme from the movie Ant Man. They will close with the African Bell Carol, which they played during the Hometown Christmas parade.
Finishing with a bang, will be the powerful Waitsburg High School band featuring two tubas. They will perform Leroy Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride,” “Orion’s Last Battle,” Katy Perty’s “Firework,” and themes from Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker Suite.”
Cookies and hot chocolate will be served in the cage following the concert. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring a non-perishable donation for the Waitsburg Resource Center. There is no other admission charge and the whole family is invited!
