Zane Patton of Dayton took the photo above saying the cows appeared more than eager to move out of the pasture and go on "welfare" for the winter.
Winter hit the Touchet Valley hard last week with more snowfall than has been seen in recent years. Area schools were even closed on Monday. Many people took to Facebook to share photos of beautiful, snow-covered scenery, rulers and measuring tapes with snow hitting the 9" mark, and fun times building snowmen, sledding, and snowmobiling.
