Snow Times
By Hagen Taylor
A boy named Logan built me. At night, I came to life. I want to tell you this story.
One snowy night I heard a noise, it was a snow pup, and his name was Wild. We played fetch with a snowball. We played for a long time. He was a fun pal.
One night Logan came by and saw that I was alive. We all played fetch and had fun. The next few weeks the weather changed. I said good bye to Logan and Wild. I’ll be back next year!
Snowman
By Logan Seal
Once I was a tiny piece of snow falling on the ground. Two little boys started rolling me up and made a big ball. They rolled up two more and stacked them on top of each other. They put sticks for my hands and my nose was a carrot. They used buttons for my eyes and down my chest.
When they were going to leave they put a hat on my head. It was a magic hat and it made me come to life! The next day at school they said my name should be Ned Willis. They asked me to play at the ten minute recess. When they went inside I followed them and we played hide and go seek.
Soon they were not at school. It was Christmas break and I was alone by myself for seventeen days! The day they came back I was kind of dripping onto the ground. The two little boys cried. The next day I came back to life and the two little boys played with me. After a little bit I said “Bye” and left before I melted away.
The Boy’s Christmas Tree
By Allyssa Green
Hi my name is Needles and I live on a tree farm with a wonderful old woman. She gave me magical soil when I was a young tree so I would grow to be a beautiful Christmas tree.
A week before Christmas all of my tree friends were picked out and left the farm to be Christmas trees in someone’s home. Days go by, then it’s Christmas Eve and no one has picked me, this makes me really sad.
Then night came and I saw a light shining at me. There was a little boy jumping up and down yelling “tree”. They took me home and decorated me. I was a beautiful Christmas tree. I shined for everyone to see.
When Christmas was over the boy and his family planted me in their back yard. Now they could use me as their tree forever and ever. I am so happy I grew to be a beautiful Christmas tree, thanks to the wonderful old woman on the farm and my new family.
The Little Snowman
By Tyler Coulston
Hi my name is Snowball. Tyler and Victor built me in the back yard. The yard is filled with snow. It was 12:00 a.m. when I came to life. The kids and parents were all sleeping.
I saw my friend Solo over in another yard. We wanted to see the world together. We knew Santa was coming soon, then we saw him land on the family’s roof. We started talking to the reindeer and made friends with them. They asked us if we wanted to go for a ride. We said YES and jumped onto the reindeer’s backs. We went all over the world, it was really beautiful.
When Santa was done delivering presents he dropped us off on the roof, we slid down, broke to pieces and fell asleep. When the kids woke up, they came outside and saw us all broken so they rebuilt us. We played all day with Tyler and Victor. It was the best Christmas ever.
The Little Snowman

I was built by a lot of kids who became my best friends. I loved the hat I got because it was blue and black. They played with me a lot. We had fun throwing snowballs at each other. When it was Christmas the kids got many presents. I was left alone outside until they were done opening presents. They came outside again and played with me. I thought it was good they were going inside to bed, because I was tired. I was scared it was getting warm and I was melting. The only thing left was my hat. The next Christmas, they built me again. We enjoyed playing tag all the time. The same thing happen as last year, I melted again. I wanted to cry but I didn’t. All my snowman friends melted too. See you next year!
Hippo
By Victor Whitmore
Once upon a time there was a little tree. “Hey” he said, “My name is Mr. Hippopotamus, but you can call me Mr. Hippo.” He told the family that cut him down. They took me to a house put me up and put decorations on all over my branches. The kids watered me, then everyone went to sleep. The next morning was Christmas and the family sat under my branches, the parents and kids told stories and opened four of their presents, and left the others to open the next day. It was fun being a Christmas tree!
The Sweet Snowman
By Kyleigh Pennington
Hi, I was built by two girls, Bea and Kyleigh. My name is Snowy. I was just snow at first, then these two special girls came and made me. They left for some hot coco and when they were gone a hat fell on me from the air. Suddenly, I was a live and free. When the girls came back they saw I was not there. So they followed my footprints and they found me, hugged me and went sledding.
Did I tell you I have two coal eyes, a carrot nose, rocks for my mouth and buttons for my belly? One morning the sun came out, I started to sweat and I melted down to my legs. A few days later it snowed again, so the next morning when Bea and Kyleigh came outside they built me back up again. This time I didn’t have the magic hat so I didn’t come to life. I was sad. All the families came outside to play around me and that made me happy until a little girl came up and pulled my arm out! I tried to hold in my cry the best I could. One of the mom’s came and put the arm inside me. I was so happy I started to cry and that made me feel alive so I cried harder. My two friends, Bea and Kyleigh, said please don’t cry you’ll turn into an icicle. Just then the wind blew and the magic hat fell on my head again. We all laughed and danced together.
My Life as a Snowman
By Bea Karl
I am a small snowman. Two girls made me, one of the girls name is Mrs. Schirm, and the other girls name is Marne. They put on two button eyes and a carrot nose. Two stick hands with gloves and a pink scarf. That was how I was made, but that is not all of my story. I stayed alive for a long time. Mrs. Schirm and Marne pretended that they made snow soup in front of me. They played with me everyday. A month later the sun came out and I melted into a puddle. When the blossoms came out the kids cried because they missed me and I missed them too. When summer was over, it became fall. Then winter followed and snow started falling. Mrs. Schirm and Marne made me again, they were really happy. They did everything perfect and also made another girl snowman to be my snow friend. She was pretty and looked a lot like me. We played all the time, until summer came again and then we turned into puddles.
The Christmas tree
By Sarah Hong
Hi, my name is Prickles, I’m a Christmas tree. I’m three feet tall. If you want to know how I came to life, let me tell you how it all happened. I lived at a Christmas tree farm in Cougarville Washington. Then I saw a cherry red truck. The mom and the little girl got out of the truck. The little girl was looking for a Christmas tree for her bedroom. She was excited to decorate her bedroom. She saw me and I saw her, she was happy I was a living tree. Her mom and her carefully dug me out of the ground The little girl loved me because I was green, they put me in the pot. When I got to my new home the little girl put a bow on me then she sat me on a table. There were lots of decorations. That night the mom put presents underneath me and I don’t know why.
In the morning the little girl and the brother were so excited to see what was in the presents. She said thank you mom. After she said thank you, she and I went outside and built a snowball fort.
The day after Christmas the little girl woke up. She got dressed in warm clothes and came outside with me. Because it was so cold, she dug a whole and put me in it. Once I was there she built a wall around us. This was the best Christmas EVER!
Tellaported Snowman
By Jarod Hankins
Hi my name is Michael I was made in Appellation Mountains deep in the woods. Two kids named Danica and Sean took 3 hours to make me. When they were finished their dad, Louis, and mom, Susan, lifted me into their blue truck. I am a large snowman. The mom drove the truck to New York where they lived. They all put me in the front yard when we got there, it was night time. The town lights all went off, because everybody was asleep. I stayed awake and saw this man in a red suit with a white beard. He had a reindeer and a sleigh. Maybe it was Santa. He magically went into their house and left them all presents. When he came out he put a hat on me and then I came to life. Santa asked me if I wanted to go to the Winter Wonderland and I said of course. Santa snapped his fingers and I teleported to winter wonderland. I was surprised there were other living snowman. I lived forever there. When the family woke up, it was 6:00 AM they looked out the window and saw I was not there. They found the note I had left for them under the Christmas tree. The note said, “I have moved to Winter Wonderland, Merry Christmas”.
They were happy for me and decided to open their presents.
Snowman

Hi, My name is Sara W. I have a snowman friend and one day she came to life. She told me her name is Lunamoon. She is as white as the moon and made of snow. She is nice and loving all over inside. Lunamoon loves rubies. She loves that they are shiny and red. But she hates rats because they are disgusting and gross. She really doesn’t like that they eat some of her snow. Her favorite food is catnip and steak. I love her; I think Lunamoon is fun and playful. When school is closed because of a snow day she and I have snowball fights. One day she melted down to the size of my boot. So I decided to rebuild her again. Mostly we play just the two of us. She loves me and I love her. Every spring she melts and I always find a piece of gold. The gold falls out of her snow when she melts. The gold must have come from my dad’s workshop. Each winter when it snows I build her in my driveway. Once again she comes to life and we go all around town having a special time. As long as I believe in Christmas magic we will be together forever. One thing I love about Lunamoon is when I build her I make her eyes out of Lapis Lazuli which makes her eyes blue as the sea. Another thing I love about my snowman friend is that she resembles the moon. She is white, white, white. I hope she and I are together forever.
Special Snowman
By Gracyen Teal
Hi, my name is Oliver the snowman but you can just call me snowy. Here is why: I haven’t melted for 12 years. One day a little boy named James, who was 6, went up to his tree house in the Blizzrd Mountains. His tree house was 22 yards away from me, an enchanted batch of snow. The tree house was 18 ft high. James was wearing a black & blue jacket, a green shirt, blue jeans, red & orange socks and yellow & gray shoes. 15 minutes after he got out of his tree house he grabbed his bat. He took a little bit of the enchanted snow, which is me. He rolled it into a ball and then hit it. It went 8 yards and it didn’t break, but man did it hurt. At first he was confused because that snowball didn’t break. He tried something; he took that ball and rolled it into a bigger ball. He ended up making four balls of different sizes. He put the biggest on the bottom and the smallest on the top. He made ME a snowman named Oliver. He rushed back to his tree house and grabbed his microscope. He jogged back to the enchanted snowman. He took about ¼ tsp of snow from the snowman put it on the microscope. It had immeasurable magic in its core. He was surprised that his snowman was so jolly. I am joyful that he still loves me after all these years, even when he’s 18.
The Christmas Tree

Hi my name is Havic. I live near Seattle in the Cascade Mountains deep in the forest. Shhhhhh, I see people coming they are getting closer and closer; they have something sharp. They cut me down quickly. It kinda of hurt. The family loaded me on their truck. It was a ten hour drive to Prescott where they live. Their house is a big wooden building. They almost couldn’t fit me in the door. I did not know how they did it but they did. Both kids put me by a window inside the house. I liked it there because I could look outside, through the window to watch Jayce who is one of the kids who plays outside. The other boys name is Brian. They like to play football with their dad. I liked that people could see me in the window when the blinds were open. It made me happy that they came and cut me down. I liked that I was out of the woods and also the snow. Being a Christmas tree is fun.
A Christmas Tree
By Shylee Elmore
I was in the Blue Mountains when a kid looked at me and asked “what is it?” The Mom said “it’s a tree” then she came over to me, dug me up and put me on top of the car. They took me to their home.
The Dad had shiny Christmas bulbs that they decorated me with. I was pretty. They stuck a star on the top of me, it was cool. Then they had dinner and went to bed.
That night I saw someone, he had a red coat and went up and down the chimney leaving presents under me. In the morning the family opened their presents and went outside to play. After a while they came in and took me outside too. They built a fort under me, made a bed and went to sleep. I loved my new home!
Fun Snowman
By Alex Sausedo
There was a family with two kids. One of them was a boy and the other a girl. They were outside building a snowman who was me! They put a hat on my head and named me Dave. They gave me rocks for eyes and a carrot for my nose. My favorite thing was the scarf they put around my neck.
We were all so happy. We played together, we were a family and had so much fun. The kids would get on my back and we would slide down a hill.
They kept me in their front yard until summer came and I melted. See you next year!
