COLFAX – After the Waitsburg boys’ basketball team lost a tough district championship game to Pomeroy on Feb. 17, they had to return to the court the next night to face Colton in a loser-out playoff game. The Cardinals couldn’t keep up on this Saturday night, and fell, 68-51.
Colton was hot out of the gate and built a 21-7 first quarter lead, which the cardinals couldn’t overcome. The score was 36-21 at the half.
For the game, Jordan Garrity led the scoring with 20 points, including five three-pointers. Kyle Gradwohl had 13, and Jacob Dunn finished with 10.
