WAITSBURG/DAYTON –Easter activities abound this weekend. Several Easter Egg hunts will take place on Sat., April 15 as well as special Easter services and breakfasts on Sun., April 16.
The Waitsburg Grange and Commercial Club will host their annual hunt, complete with prizes and a visit from the Easter Bunny, at 10 a.m at Preston Park.
Dayton’s Community Easter Egg Hunt, sponsored by Washington Federal Bank and the Dayton Kiwanis Club, will take place at the Dayton City Park at 10 a.m. on Saturday, also. The hunt is open to children ages 1-11 and golden eggs will get a special prize. .
There will also be an Easter Egg Hunt at Booker Rest Home in Dayton at 10 a.m.
The Blue Mountain Station Co-op will host its fourth annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Blue Mountain Station Food Park (700 Artisan Way) at 12 p.m. on Saturday. There will be candy or prizes inside every egg (over 1,000!) and a bounce house will be available before and after the hunt.
A Easter Sunrise Service will take place at 6:30 a.m. on April 16 at the home of Mike Voth located at 36301 Hwy. 12, Dayton. Pastor Matt Wyatt will give the message.
Dayton United Brethren Church (1106 S. 4th) will hold an Easter Cantata at 10:45 a.m. Easter morning.
The Waitsburg Presbyterian Church is holding a free pancake breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Worship to follow at 11 a.m. All are welcome.
The Waitsburg Christian Church will hold an Easter Egg Hunt at the Waitsburg Elementary School playground, following their 11 a.m. Easter church service.
