Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley
Members of the Waitsburg Garden Club were busy planting the Main Street planters this year. Members welcome passers-by to keep the planters looking lovely by deadheading plants as they walk by and request that everyone clean up after their dogs if they make use of the Main Street tree bases. The garden club welcomes everyone to help in planting and maintaining the planters each year.
Garden Club President Susan Donegan says the Main Street plantings were the first club event this year. She said Kate Hockersmith is working on arranging a visit from an expert on lost heirloom apple trees, later this fall.
Anyone interested in learning more about the Waitsburg Garden Club or hosting the club on a tour of their garden can contact Donegan at (509) 386-2428.
