This mobile home, located in Country Village mobile home park in Dayton, was destroyed by fire in the early morning hours of July 20. An unidentified body was found inside.
An unidentified body was found in a mobile home that was consumed by fire early this morning in Dayton.
Columbia County Sheriff's Office and the Columbia County Fire Department responded to a mobile home fire located at 603 Country Village mobile home park, at approximately 3:44 a.m. on Thurs., July 20. According to a Sheriff's Office press release, the home was fully engulfed when emergency personnel arrived.
An unidentified body was found inside the mobile home during fire suppression efforts. According to the release the cause of death is unknown. The case is under investigation and press releases will provide updates as more facts become known.
