Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley
DAYTON – The National Night Out event will take place in Dayton again this year on Tuesday evening, August 1. The public is invited to the Dayton City Part from 5 – 8 p.m.
The Park will be filled with many activities. Free hotdogs courtesy of Banner Bank will be served by the Dayton Kiwanis and Lions Clubs. Free soft drinks will be provided by Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co. Free cold bottled water will also be provided.
On Hand will be Life Flight and National Guard helicopters, Fire trucks and ambulances from Columbia County Fire District 3 can be toured. Kyles Custom Toys and Towing will show off their huge new truck. Washington State Dept. of Fish and Game will bring their new patrol jet boat for display.
Officials will be on hand to provide child fingerprinting and videotaping for an emergency response identification packet by the Child Abduction Response Team.
The YWCA will provide a wide variety of kids’ games and activities. The Dayton City Pool will offer free swimming from 6 - 8 p.m. A free family movie in the park will be offered by Blue Mountain Counseling, beginning at 9 p.m.
