Water Conservancy Board Opening

WALLA WALLA COUNTY – Walla Walla County is seeking applicants to fill a position as alternate to the three-member county Water Conservancy Board of Commissioners, to serve in a reserve capacity as a replacement for absent or recused commissioners.

Appointees much be a legal resident of Walla Walla County or a contiguous county and must successfully complete a 32-hour training before participating in any decision concerning a water right transfer application, and must maintain eight hours of continuing education, annually. Alternates serve without compensation bur are entitled to reimbursement for travel expenses and training costs. The term is six years.
