Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley
DAYTON - Dayton Historic Depot is pleased to have Michelle Janning, a Whitman College sociology professor, discuss and sign her new book The Stuff of Family Life: How Our Homes Reflect Our Lives. Janning examines what the objects and spaces within our homes say about us and our relationships. Does your lingerie drawer say something about you? Does your desire for a ‘man cave’ help describe your relationships with friends and family? What does where you store old love letters say about their significance? Why do you feel uncomfortable in your childhood bedroom? These are just a few of the questions Janning will discuss.
The talk will take place in the waiting room at Dayton Historic Depot, 222 E. Commercial, Dayton, on Oct. 17 at 6:30 p.m. Dr. Janning’s book will be available for purchase.
