Lady Bulldogs stand 3-2 in league play

Dayton vs. Davenport

Dayton’s volleyball team traveled to Davenport Monday evening where they trounced Davenport in three matches, 25-15, 25-16, 25-12. The match leaves Dayton standing 3-2 in league and 8-4 overall.

Hanna Becker served a perfect 13/13 and made nine kills, four assists, and six blocks. Megan Robins served 23/24 with seven aces, one kill, and five digs and Scully Castorena made two kills, eight assists, and nine digs. Kaleigh White threw in another five kills, one block and two digs and Shaelyn Fortier served a perfect 9/9 and dished out four aces.

Dayton vs. Kittitas

The Lady Bulldogs fell to Kittitas 25-19, 25-19, 25-19 in a 2B league match on the Coyotes court on Sat., Oct. 14. Dayton Coach Shannon Turner said her girls played will, but weren’t prepared for the Coyotes’ quick-set offense in the middle.

Stat leaders were Megan Robins with nine digs and five kills, Keleigh White with 13 kills and five blocks, Scully Castorena with eight kills. Hannah Becker made 16 assists, four blocks and served a perfect 12/12.

The Lady Bulldogs play league matches against Walla Walla Valley Academy on Wed. Oct. 18 and Liberty Christian on Tues., Oct. 24. Regionals will be held in Wenatchee on Oct. 26 and Nov. 2 with District 5 and District 6 competing for four berths to state.
