District Preps for Winter Weather

WAITSBURG – With winter weather just around the corner, the Waitsburg School District has updated their emergency weather procedures with the intent of advising the community and staff of the impact of weather and road conditions on the school day as early as possible.

Under normal situations, decisions are made no later than 6:30 a.m. and the district will notify radio stations first, then principals and supervisors. If it is necessary to revise a decision, such as changing from a delayed start to a cancellation, that decision will be made by 7:30 a.m.

Information regarding delays, closures and early dismissals will be shared with media outlets, posted on the district website (www.waitsburgsd.org) and Facebook (Waitsburg School District). Parents with an email address in the Skyward system will be notified via email.

Radio and television stations receiving Waitsburg updates include: KNDU Channel 6 (Charter), KWHT 103.5, KORD 102.7, and KUMA 107.7.
