With the public showing an increased interest in area growth, The Times is working with the Columbia County planning office to publish a list of building permits granted in Dayton, Columbia County, and Waitsburg each month. Below are the permits issued in October.
Columbia County
Oct. 30, Tucannon Ag Partnership, Highway 261, Starbuck; construct a 400 square foot covered deck.
Oct. 25, Anne Strode/Terry Steinhoff, 800 Eckler Mountain Road, Dayton; decommission of underground oil tank, to be filled entirely of concrete.
Oct. 18, Columbia Basin Baptist Assn, 1124 N. Touchet Rd, Dayton; construct a deck for use as a stage and permanent seating.
Oct. 16, Dan Bickelhaupt/Seth Murdock, 36039 Highway 12, Dayton; construction of new 70’ x 58’ aircraft hangar.
Oct. 12, Shane & Kristin Loper, 1045 Whetstone Rd., Dayton; construction of new three-bedroom home of 2,565 sq. ft. Permit issued or well-drilling purposes only. Official building plans must be submitted prior to inspections.
Oct. 6, Tom Archer, 347 Shea Rd., Dayton; addition of 1,800 sq. ft. to existing residence with engineered trusses and standard 2”x6” wood frame construction. All inspections subject to onsite correction.
Oct. 6, WGSKI, LLC, 2000 N. Touchet Rd., Dayton; enclose an area between the upper deck and lower concrete patio to create additional equipment rental area.
