WALLA WALLA – A press release by the Walla Walla County Commissioners urges residents to get a flu shot to prevent the spread of illness. According to the release, Washington state health officials are already seeing influenza cases across the state and expect an increase in coming weeks.
Groups at higher risk of complications include young children, people 65 and older, pregnant women and people with certain medical conditions. Healthcare providers and those that interact with high risk groups should also get a flu shot and take care not to spread illness.
