The Waitsburg Fairgrounds got plenty of use Saturday as sixty local 4-H and FFA members attended a full day of events, organized by high school freshman Amy Farley. The first half of the day was spent in a livestock judging clinic. Farley arranged for cattle, hogs, sheep and goats to be brought in and judged by local livestock producers. The youth took a break for lunch, which was catered by Rita Brown and provided, free of charge, by the Waitsburg Lions Club. They then attended a Quality Assurance Training taught by Walla Walla County 4-H extension office personnel. At left, the crowd watches a demonstration of swine judging.
