DW combine committee members from Dayton are Superintendent Doug Johnson, Katie Leid, Cara Watts, Jeni Richie and Principal/Athletic Director Paul Shaber, who is co-chair.
Johnson said positions are currently open, and are listed on the school website, for head and assistant high school volleyball coaches, head and assistant middle school volleyball coaches, high school cross country coach, high school soccer coach, head and assistant high school baseball coach, and head and assistant high school softball coach.
The interview team is made up of one administrator from each school (high school principal and athletic director), one board member from each district, and one DW combine committee member.
For fall sports, Waitsburg Athletic Director Stephanie Wooderchak is in charge of high school football, cheer, and cross country. Dayton Athletic Director Paul Shaber is in charge of high school and middle school volleyball and soccer.
“It’s going to be a big job this year, since all (positions) are more or less open,” Johnson said.
