Elephant Toothpaste, lava lamps, volcanic chemical reactions and combustion using shotgun chokes. These were a few of the topics members of Waitsburg's Home Grown Go Wild 4-H Club presented April 17 at the Walla Walla County 4-H Extension Office's Demonstration and Presentation Contest. Shown, left to right, are Timothy Daves, William Hong, Sawyer Nichols and Sarah Hong. These four members presented in front of both judges and community members, sharing their knowledge about their science-based subject and or persuasive speech with a question and answer session at the end of each presentation. They will present again in May in hopes of earning a chance to travel to the Washington State Fair in September in Puyallup. Congratulations to Timothy Daves who earned two blue ribbons: one for his demonstration and another for his persuasive speech, Nichols and William and Sarah Hong also earned a blue ribbon each for their science based projects.
