Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley
Dear Editor,
After attending the Dayton High School Youth and Government Columbia County Candidate Debate, and the AAUW Candidates Forum, it became clear to me that both candidates for Columbia County Commissioner have a sincere desire to serve the county and both candidates have considerable qualifying experience.
Chuck Amerein’s participation and leadership experience in extremely high-stress military assignments as Airborne Ranger in Panama, Green Beret in Iraq, and Security Contractor in Iraq, has given him an extraordinary background in logistics, personnel and project management. Chuck’s experience as a private business owner/operator and Commander of the American Legion Post 42 has broadened his understanding of the inner workings of Columbia County. Further, Chuck’s diligence in attending numerous County Commissioner meetings has secured his understanding of County administration, policies and procedures.
I think Chuck Amerein’s unique background and directly related experience gives him the edge for Columbia County Commissioner.
