Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley
Dear Editor,
Awesome!
I’m writing today to encourage you to support my nephew Dain Nysoe for Columbia County commissioner. Yesterday I was driving around and ended up at the ranch, the home where I grew up. It’s so beautiful here! Everywhere you look there is a panorama of color, blue sky, the mountains: it’s awesome. It’s great to be home: this is where the heart is.
Dain grew up here too and he loves it like I do. One of my early memories of Dain is when he was a kid and I was driving wheat truck: he would flag me down, “Stop, stop, stop!” Along with his two younger red-headed freckled-faced brothers--- they all wanted a ride along to Turner. Now you would wonder why: we were thirsty, it was hot, it was dusty, but it was fun! Unlike my siblings (who still rode horses to school), like me, Dain rode the bus down Lewis Gulch and the Patit to school in town. We shared the same experiences, the same values and the same love of family and home!
I’m the oldest one alive who has known Dain since he was born! I can endorse Dain with no reservation and total confidence! I know Dain will always put the best interest of the County and its citizens first. I have watched Dain grow into the mature, honest, and fine man he is today. I’m marking my ballot for Nysoe, the best person for the job! I hope you will do the same.
I’m a proud loyal resident of Columbia County.
