WAITSBURG—Waitsburg’s Homegrown Go Wild 4-H club took home gold at 4-H’s Achievement Awards night, winning Small Club of the Year and First Place Window Display for their displays in a storefront on Main Street.
William Hong won a project medal for science.
Sarah Hong-Daves won the Farm Bureau Garden Award and gained project medals in Science, Gardening and the Food & Nutrition categories.
Timothy Daves garnered the position of Washington State 4-H Ambassador Representing the Southeast District. Daves was also named Outstanding 4-H Senior Boy Member and was awarded with a fourth-year leadership pin as well as project medals in food and nutrition, and shooting sports.
The Adult leader for Homegrown Go Wild is Cindy Daves.
